Exercise More Than Just Your Body
Take some time today to do something active with your family and/or friends. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans (2005) recommend that as adults we should engage in physical activity at least 30 minutes each day. Most of us think that we have to do something defined, like going to the gym and running on a treadmill, taking an exercise class, doing an elliptical trainer, etc. But do we think of doing something fun with our kids and the family (and friends) when engaging in physical activity?One thing you can do today is go out and have fun with those you care about! Since today is Easter, have an Easter Egg Hunt, or just plan a scavenger hunt with the family or with your friends! Call a friend and go for a brisk walk with them. Get together with some friends and go for a bike ride or go skiing. Take some time today to be with the people you care about and do something active and fun. Exercise your body while exercising your friendships!
